The Third major event of Ci3 India was the Workshop on improving Design Processes and Technology Adoption in construction industry. It was held at IIT Madras, Chennai on 29 April, 2016.
The basic objective of the Workshop was to identify and categorize issues in the current design process which impact project objectives and to discuss and understand the drivers of technology adoption processes in the Indian construction industry
Prof. Koshy Varghese and Prof. K.N. Satyanarayana from IIT Madras kicked-off and steered the discussions. The participants at this major meeting included large construction developers and Technology Experts from leading construction organizations in India. After the introductory session, the participants were divided into two focus groups – Group 1 who brainstormed on Issues in Design processes in the Industry , Group 2 brainstormed in parallel on Issues in Technology adoption.
